[Music] [Music] I was involved in the case where a patient was positioned on the fracture table and according to the universal protocol checklist we needed to secure them with a safety strap but one of the season ortho nurses said we didn't need to put it on because she was quote not going anywhere the assisting PA and MD got a good laugh at that and just walked away I was new to the team and it seemed that no matter what I said I wasn't being heard or supported unfortunately the patient felt off the table during emergence the updated policy now states that all patients have safety belts at all times and in all cases that's great but the policy is only effective if nurses even the seasoned ones are willing to follow it [Music] you [Music]
